Kerstin Hummer – Coordination and Support in Computational Materials Physics
Kerstin Hummer coordinates teaching and research activities as head of the Scientific Service Center and Director of Studies for the MSc Computational Science program at the University of Vienna. Her work focuses on first-principles electronic-structure methods, including density functional theory, GW, and the Bethe–Salpeter equation, with applications to semiconductors and optical properties. Through her roles in leadership, teaching, and scientific support, she strengthens the connection between education and research in computational materials physics.
