Faruk completed his PhD in the group of Andreas Grüneis. His research interests lie at the intersection of computational materials science and theoretical physics, with a particular emphasis on developing advanced methodologies for understanding and predicting the behavior of materials.
During his doctoral studies, he acquired a strong background in ab initio many-body methods, which will be valuable for implementing interatomic forces in excited states using TDDFT.
His experience with programming in an HPC context will enable him to make significant contributions to the team's objectives.
